RITUAL (RIT-U-AL): AN ACT OR SERIES OF ACTS REGULARLY

REPEATED IN A SET PRECISE MANNER; A CEREMONIAL ACT OR ACTION

 

Do you have any daily rituals? When you wake up in the morning do you immediately start rushing through your day or do you take the time to nurture and spoil yourself somehow, even if it’s just for 5 or 10 minutes?

The way we start our mornings sets the course for the way our whole day will unfold. If we start our day with a sense of urgency, rushing and stressing about all the things that we have to get done, our entire day will probably be a very stressful one.

RITUAL VS. ROUTINE

The difference between a ritual and a routine is that with a ritual, we are fully present and aware of what we are doing. We are focused and mindful about it. We’re not just doing it because we have to. Routines you can do on autopilot. Rituals are intentional. For instance, brushing my teeth is a routine for me. I do it (twice) every day without thinking about it much.  But I can totally see how it could be a ritual for someone else if it filled that need for them.

What my daily ritual looks like and how i get through the day….

This is sacred ground. No one messes with my morning ritual. Really.

The thing is that you can do them anywhere, even when you’re not at home.

  • My morning cup of Apple Cider Vinegar with lemons and honey. If it’s nice out, I like to sit on the deck in the morning sun with my journal.
  • I love journaling in the morning, it really sets my intentions for the day.  I can share anything I need or wish to along with my daily card reading for daily guidance.
  • YOGA….I hit the mat at least 5 times a week
  • Of course, I shower and get my physical body ready for the day, then get to work…I’m blessed to be a “Boss Babe”, so I set my own hours, but many are spent preparing for classes and workshops at The Soul Center in Red Deer, creating sacred tools and more.
  • I need to move to keep the body limber, so a 30 minute walk 4 or 5 times a week is so important to me – I do this after lunchtime.
  • My self-healing with Reiki, meditation and prayerwork, I keep for evening, just before bedtime.  It divinely seals my day with self-healing, giving gratitude for my abundance and blessings for this day.
  • I have many more that just come naturally like blessing my food, getting outside barefoot on the grass, sitting under a tree or hugging one….simple small things that make my life full and amazing.
  • Something else that has recently started being a daily ritual is prepping my meals. I “fell” out of cooking for many years and have really come back to enjoying preparing myself clean, healthy, ketogenic foods which really fuel my body, mind and spirit.
  • HYDRATION….is key! When we’re dehydrated, our brain can’t work at its usual efficiency, and as a result, we can begin to feel fatigued and lose much of our energy (among other things).

What could your daily ritual look like?

  • Morning Coffee
  • Be Grateful
  • Be loving toward yourself and others
  • Moving your body
  • Eating healthy
  • Mindfullness
  • Journal –ask “What good can I do today”, or at the end of the day ask “What Good Did I Do Today?”
  • WHAT CAN YOU ADD???

From Exhausted to Empowered & New Moon Intentions

Thank you for being here with me, if you’ve been here for a while or are new to
Essential Energy Healing….I welcome you!

Hiya Gorgeous!!!

Like many of you, I have been going through lots of transformational changes that sometimes are very challenging, but once we have come through, there is a deep sense of gratitude for the lessons and healing and we feel so much lighter and clearer.

In fact, I have been feeling so amazing this past six months, I want to share something with you today!  I can’t help it….
 Little did I know how my life would change so much in 3 months

If you would have told me 3 months ago how amazing I would be feeling today, I would have told you, not very likely.

My life has drastically changed.  I. HAVE. MY. LIFE. BACK. 

I know so many who struggle with auto-immune issues, high blood pressure, diabetes, chronic exhaustion, inflammation and pain, just like myself

As you may or may not know, 6 years ago I was diagnosed with Lupus – a chronic autoimmune dis-ease and have struggled with exhaustion-sleeping all the time and having to sleep during the day, severe infections, severe inflammation, chronic pain, mild depression, anxiety and just well, like shit.  Not my old self in any way.  I struggled with many long dark periods but I’m pretty stubborn as some of you know and am fighting to get back to wellness again.

Then, 4 years ago, more problems with food intolerances, food allergies and more, so 2 years ago I cut out all the wheat in my diet and started a pretty clean eating way of life for me…..or so I thought.

Still problems with my stomach, more intolerances and allergies so I did a full 40 day elimination food reset this winter, which was once of the best things I could have ever done.

Although I did the full elimination food re-set and tried to re-introduce certain foods, they just don’t sit well with me, my energy and how I feel.  I was feeling pretty good overall, but still struggling to have the energy I wanted every day, I still had to lay down for a rest every day. Not exactly top notch yet, but certainly moving forward.  I’ve been on an Autoimmune Paleo Diet for about 3 months now and have noticed huge changes in the energy….but still not where I wanted to be yet, so I switched over to a Ketogenic way of eating, and I again, noticed some big big changes thinking…..Oooh, nice, my body like this way of eating.  YES.  EUREKA!!!

With me being in the “healing” business, so many people have approached me with “goods” that they thought would help and I know it was all offered from the hearts of those who offered.

I’m pretty cautious and hesitant to try any new products.  I stay with what I know works. I tried lots of them and either they had no effect at all, or overstimulated my already overstimulated immune system, then I would crash again.

4 months ago, a good friend I had not seen in a while invited me out to lunch.

I’m like, well I don’t know what the hell she’s doing, but she looked fantastic.  At that time she told me she was trying a product but wasn’t on it long enough yet to share what she was doing, so after another  month we met again and the changes I saw in her were just incredible!  Her eyes were clear, her skin was glowing….I had to know what she was up to and she offered a few sample packets of the product.

Immediately I noticed I had a really gentle and subtle shift in my energy.  Hmmm…I was thinking oh yah, right – it’s probably overstimulating my system again so I did a ton of research, as I always do on any product I’m taking. And of course I did some self-testing and found that the information I was reading made good sense in how energy is made in our body.

Within the 1st week, I was up and about with good, steady energy all day, no naps needed.

After the first month, I was out for longer nature walks, getting out of the house every day to do something, see someone – something that was not “normal” any longer for me and I’ll tell you, I was pretty excited.

What she DIDN’T tell me was:

  • I would have no more chronic exhaustion and have to take daily naps
  • How much better I would be sleeping (all night even) & waking up feeling good
  • I would feel like a new person – Happy Dance
  • I would get my life back – YES I do
  • How amazing my energy would be
  • No more mental fog and memory problems
  • So much focus
  • My anxiety and mild depression is almost gone (YES)
  • I would have the energy and want to offer 1 on 1 session work again after a 2 year hiatus
  • I would participate in events and gatherings that I would not have normally participated in 2 or 3 months ago due to no energy, not wanting to drive

Now, that happy, confident person that people see, matches how I feel on the inside, now. It is mind blowing that I didn’t even realize this until a week ago when I was chatting with a friend of mine and she said “Wow, you look so great – I have not seen you look so good in years!”

A lot of people start this journey for weight loss.  Me, I wanted my life back and I’ve got it.  If I’m losing a few pounds in the meanwhile, I’m good with that too.

If you…..

  • Struggle to get out of bed in the morning
  • Rely on caffeine, muffins and sheer adrenaline to get through the day.
  • If your clothes dont fit, you’re grumpy and lumpy and barely recognize your tired-ass self in the mirror every morning…..
  • Have trouble finding your “off” switch
  • Feel worried, disappointed or disconnected

  • Wake up rested and refreshed, ready to take on the day.
  • Have fast & sustained energy so you are productive at work, crossing off things on your list while feeling balanced and awake.
  • Reduce Brain Fog, Increase awareness and finish the afternoon stron
  • Get through your day with no energy slumps or distracting cravings.
  • After work you still have plenty of energy to devote to your family and friends, and your relationships are peaceful and fun because it is easy to be patient, kind and loving when you have enough energy.
  •  At the end of the night, you wind down gently, so that when you lay your head down, you feel relaxed, grateful and loved.
  • You fall asleep effortlessly and enjoy deep restful sleep, so you can be at your best tomorrow, ever!

New Moon is Thursday, May 25, at 1:44 PM Mountain Daylight Time (MDT).

You can experience this new moon either from a place of despair and suffering over loss, confusion or chaos in your life, or you can be in deep gratitude for the experiences that you have had and the lessons learned. The impermanence of life should be honored and the nostalgia of times past celebrated.

This could be an emotional moon with a sense of wanting some space to be alone. However, community is important as well and it is advised that you get support to be in a space of beauty, love and wonder instead of dark despair. Even though a new moon is a time for going within and resetting priorities and intentions, this moon does have an element of reaching out for community support.

There is an aspect of this new moon that invites us to forgive whatever you think is wrong or has been wrong so that you can move on with your deepest desires. If you are still chewing on parts the past with resentment, guilt, shame or anger, this is a good time to let it go.

MOON BATHING RITUAL
  • Did you know that at the New Moon, the body’s ability to detoxify is at its peak?  Bathing at the New Moon has an effect that would be similar to a 3 day detox!  It will adjust and decontaminate the body and support the removal of toxic build up, whether it’s environmental, physioloical or emotional!
  • Himalayan Sea Salts or Epsom salts are both wonderful for your Moon Bathing Ritual!  Add 1 cup to you bathing water, and bathe approx 20 – 30 minutes.  Do not towel or rub dry, allow your body to air dry (yes, really) and if possible, relax afterwards ~ quiet reading or bed is preferred!
  • You can add some candles and crystals for an amazing experience!

Essential Energy Healing

NEW MOON, ELEMENTS AND RITUAL

Spring has arrived and the New Moon is on Monday, March 27th – Aries is Fire Energy ~ which can be both creative and destructive!

To feel the manifestations of this power, go out on sunny day and feel the warmth and light of the Sun, listen to the crackling of logs and smell of smoke from a burning fire. Or, candles also represent Fire and as you gaze into the transformational flame of a candle, immerse yourself in the energy of Fire. Fire is the natural element of animals and mankind, and they “have, in their natures, a most fiery force, and also spring from celestial sources.”

In order to gain benefit from the energy of this element, we need to control Fire’s destructive aspect. When we light a candle, we are not only calling upon the energy of Fire, we are also limiting its power. This destructive aspect should not be seen as negative, forest fires, actually help, clearing away underbrush and encouraging seeds lying dormant within the Earth to burst forth into new life.

Fire is a masculine element, its aspects being change, passion, creativity, motivation, will power, drive and sensuality. It is sexuality, both physical and spiritual. Fire is used in spells, rituals and candle magic for healing, purification, breaking bad habits or destroying illness and disease.

NEW MOON 

This new moon says take action NOW. Pay attention to where in life you need some fuel for growth and apply the action energy of Aries. Walk, run, or dance – just move. Get outside and play. Use the energy you generate to take aligned action on your intentions.

Tune into Aries during the new moon window and ask what needs to be done that maybe you haven’t thought of yet. Take time to fire up anything in your life that needs extra energy. Make decisions and then take action.

Also notice with Aries if there is any place your fire needs to be contained or balanced. Are you running over people?  Burning yourself out? Is there any place you are out of control? What do you need to do to balance fire effectively in your life right now

In terms of your creations, the most powerful action you can take during the new moon in Aries is to do what needs to be done as quickly as possible. Take action! Energize your intentions. This is a very potent time to start something new or get an area of your life or business revved up.

Choose the one or two ideas you need most to work with, then focus on those. Intentions function best when there are only one or two to concentrate on in any cycle.

Personal Action Suggestions for Aries New Moon:

  • Get in motion, energizing your body.
  • Schedule time to PLAY and then go do something fun.
  • Notice where in life you need to be more yourself; then express your individuality.
  • Start a new project or move one forward.
  • Connect to your inner warrior and ask where it needs to take action.
  • Build a well-contained fire indoors or out, and as it gets going, sit and reflect with it, asking where you need to apply greater levels of fire energy in your life. Journal.
  • Make an action list of things you need to get done and start doing them.

The last Full Moon of 2016

 Full Moon Release Ritualfull-moon

At the full moon, the energy builds and builds….there’s an explosive outgoing aspect to it. All of nature grows and is more vital at the full Moon. This surge allows you to take action on behalf of those New Moon intentions you set two week prior.

A full Moon ritual might involve taking one solid step, with a symbolic action. And it can be a powerful time to release, cast out, unburden yourself, purge, etc. You celebrate your emergence by stepping out of an old skin, identity, behavior, attitude, relationship. The ritual helps you by marking this inner transformation in a formal way.

A full Moon ritual might involve purification by one of the elements. Most often, it’s fire, and done by casting something you don’t want into the flames.

1) Write what you’re releasing down on a stick, or write down your release on a piece of paper.

2) Resolve to let go as you throw it into the fire, or you may also burn in a fire-proof bowl (Please use caution and stay safe)

3) Throw the stick or paper into the fire with a STRONG INTENTION of release

This can be done as a group, with everyone sitting ’round the fire…or in your own private ceremony. Each person can seal their action of letting go by speaking it aloud, if there’s trust in the circle.

Water can also be used to cleanse in rituals. I remember a very meaningful full Moon ceremony I had at my house with three    other women. We had filled a blue bowl with water and some rose petals. Each of us wrote down what we wanted to draw into our lives on a piece of paper. After we read them aloud, we put our hands in the bowl to signify the cleansing of the old, to open to the new. It’s still one of my favorite memories. Mainly it worked because we all trusted each other to be open hearted and share our dreams. When that’s there, you can evoke the magic of shifting consciousness at will.

Items you’ll need: Floating candles, a large bowl, water, matches, pen.

  1. Create sacred space with candles, sage smudging, and setting up altars with powerful totems. For some rituals, I’ll use owl’s feather that I found, to represent wisdom.
  1. If possible, stand or sit under the Moon. Allow yourself to feel a direct relationship to it, as a mover of the living waters of the Earth and within our own bodies.
  1. Do a grounding exercise, to bring you out of the chatter of small talk and into ritual space. Feel the earth under your feet and shake out the tension in the body.
  1. Place the large water-filled bowl in front of you, or in the middle of your gathering on a table.
  1. Each person writes what they’re releasing on the floating candle. It’s not important that it shows up, just that the intention is there.
  1. As you place the candle into the bowl, declare what you’re releasing.
  1. Light the candle.
  1. Allow yourself to feel the transfer of what you’re releasing to the candle. As a group focus on letting go into the water, holding hands if that feels right.
  1. Celebrate this release by sharing a feast under the full Moon!

Allow the candle to keep burning in the bowl as a symbol of the letting go process. The flame is a purifier, and symbolizes the sparks of inspiration as well. If you blow out your floating candle, and your bowl is in your home, relighting it will remind you of your commitment. Place inspiring pictures and totems around it that remind you of who you’re becoming. Above all, give yourself kudos for honoring your own growth.

Space Clearing RitualSpace Clearing

To cleanse the space in which you are working, light your smudge stick and smudge yourself and anyone else in the room.  Walk around the room, wafting smoke into each corner..  Call on the spirit of sage to drive away all negativity from the room.

 

Then ask the spirit of sweet grass to bring harmony and balance into the room.

Move to the corners of the room and briefly stand still.

Turn to the East of the room and fan smudge out into that direction four times, saying “Spirit of the East, great Spirit of Air, cleanse and inspire this space.”

Turn to the south and smudge four times, saying “Spirit of the South, great spirit of Water, strengthen  and bring peace to this space.”

Turn to the West and smudge four times, saying “Spirit of the West, great Spirit of Fire, energize and protect this space.”

Turn to the North and smudge four times, saying “Spirit of the North, great Spirit of Earth, ground and cleanse this space.”

Return to your original position and look up toward the heavens, this time sending smudge upwards four times, saying “Great Father Sky, guard this space from above.”.  Finally, squat toward the floor and send smudge down to the earth four times, saying “Great Mother Earth, nurture this space from above.”

Put down your smudge stick and stand quietly with your eyes shut.

21 Days of Goddess Gratitude and

The Theme of December is always of Gratitude…..

This past year has been a rough ride for many of us in Alberta and all over Canada.  We’ve been hit hard financially with my husband working in the pipeline industry and I know so many others who have experienced financial and many other difficulties as well.

Every day that I have a house to live in, groceries in the fridge to eat and gas in my car, I am thankful, daily and especially to get through the lean tough times, I practice Gratitude  ~ more and more the past year and wanted to share with you….Gratitude and I extend a personal Invite you to join me in 21 Days of Goddess Gratitude.  It’s wonderful to share.

Gratitude means thankfulness, counting your blessings, noticing simple pleasures, and acknowledging everything that you receive. It means learning to live your life as if everything were a miracle, and being aware on a continuous basis of how much you’ve been given.

Gratitude shifts your focus from what your life lacks to the abundance that is already present. In addition, behavioral and psychological research has shown the surprising life improvements that can stem from the practice of gratitude.

Giving thanks makes people happier and more resilient, it strengthens relationships, it improves health, and it reduces stress.

The holiday season is upon us. And for those of us living in the Northern Hemisphere, nature has already gone  into its dormant phase.  Mother Earth is hibernating. The trees have shed their leaves, snow covers the ground here in most of Alberta.

This should be a time when we too seek solitude, go within, and take a little time off. It’s what our bodies want, it’s what our minds crave; yet, most of us ignore the signs, putting in ever longer hours as the days grow increasingly shorter.   For most people, it’s CRAZY BUSY. Stores are blaring holiday music and telling you there’s just a few shopping days left ’till Xmas. Companies are cranking away to make their end-of year financial goals. Families and friends are making plans to visit and celebrate. Social calendars have booked up.  And while our human ways can feel productive and even celebratory at holiday time, it’s also quite exhausting for most people.
Not to mention that we are running COUNTER to the slower rhythms of nature at this time of year. Winter is meant of be a time of REST!

Yes, I said REST.

This is a word we seem to have forgotten in our fast-paced Western Culture. We are moving and lightning speed and multi-tasking like mad. We are doing MORE with LESS support. And most of us are really pretty tired.

In nature, we celebrate the changing of the seasons. And every farmer knows that a recipe for getting an healthy abundant crop is to leave the fields fallow for a period of time. But it’s not that nothing is happening during these fallow periods. The soil is regenerating. The nutrients are building back up. The plants are building their internal infrastructure and their root system is expanding beneath the ground. Without this fallow time, nature could not come out in her full splendor next Spring-with bountiful crops and glorious flowers.

We humans aren’t so different. We also need deep periods of stillness, rest, and “down time.” But our culture doesn’t really celebrate these things. With only 2 weeks of vacation a year at most jobs, there’s time for little more than a few family visits or a quick vacation.

So we keep pushing and pushing. And many of us, including me, have ended-up burnt out, unhealthy and generally not taking very good care of US. I was reading an article recently where it stated that approximately 80% of people today will experience adrenal fatigue in their lifetime. Wow.

So if you want to keep up your big, bright life. If you want to fully show-up for your family and your friends; if you want to make a big difference, you have really got to REST my friends. And nurture yourselves! This is not selfish behavior, but totally REQUIRED for folks who are going to be putting out a lot into the world. And I know a bit about all of you-you GIVE a lot. And you’ll burnout FOR REAL if you don’t charge up those batteries.

So here’s my suggestions of key holiday gifts to YOURSELF. If you fill up your own cup so that you are radiant and abundant, this will be nothing but FABULOUS for you, your family, and your work.

Ten Ways to Reduce Holiday Stress

1. Get enough sleep. You may wonder how this fits especially when you have a long list of things to do for the holidays. However, this truly is a simple step to a stress-free holiday. The lack of sleep leads to fatigue, which in turn reduces your ability to cope with the holiday demands.

2. Find time to exercise, even if it’s only for a few minutes. Exercise helps to increase your energy level and reduce stress.

3. Nourish yourself. In other words, take time to eat properly. In the rush to accomplish all the things planned for the holidays, you may tend to skip meals in order to get more done. You need fuel to continue on with holiday cheer.

4. Plan ahead so that you are prepared for what’s coming up. The last thing you need is unscheduled interruptions to your day. If something unplanned comes up that can wait until later, do not be ashamed to politely refuse or reschedule.

5. Set and stick to a holiday budget for things that are on your lists to do and buy. It’s easy to overspend over the holidays which can lead to stress. Once you set your budget, your decision making will be easy and less stressful when it comes time to make your holiday purchases.

6. Shop early to avoid the holiday crowd. Try shopping over the Internet and skip the hassle of crowded shopping malls, parking and the frustration of standing in line.

7. Prioritize what you want to accomplish over the holidays. Stick with the most important first, and you’ll get those things done that are most important to you.

8. Simplify your life. If you can make things easier for yourself, do so. It saves you from stress, and it works. A lot of things don’t have to be elaborate, especially with decorations and food preparation.

9. Reduce your expectations. High expectations usually equate to higher probability of stress when things don’t work out. Don’t try to do too many things or expect too much from others; take the holiday time to relax. Find little self soothers to pamper yourself throughout your day.

10. Plan to give service, and think of someone’s needs other than your own. This charitable spirit will help you be more appreciative of what you already have and remember what the holiday is really about. Having compassion for others softens our Spirit and lends its way to awakening your heart within.

Expectations are the biggest stress: those that others have placed on us and those we impose on ourselves. Our schedules fill up, and our pocketbooks become empty. Expectations of how the holidays should be keep us from enjoying a time of simpler, more meaningful joys. There is such a simple solution to the holiday stress blues, just say “no “and give yourself the gift of compassion. Let someone else do a project, let the bakery do the cookies, have someone wrap your gifts and have a party when decorating the tree, the more the merrier. Plan now and kick back and enjoy some eggnog! Create your magical holiday….

Why do I do what I do? 

I love to serve women who are ready to discover greater self- awareness, a deeper spiritual connection, emotional healing, authentic creative expression and to live a meaningful and passionate life as they age with grace, wisdom and vibrancy.

My practice is grounded in the pursuit of balance between mind, body, and soul, as I fully believe in the power of self-healing.

I work with women who are ready to commit to doing the sometimes difficult, always rewarding work of creating the life they desire. Whether it’s navigating transition (divorce; career change; getting older); personal development (including emotional, mental, and spiritual growth); and stress management, I will whole heartedly walk with you every step of the way until you have achieved that which you desire.

The reason why I do what I do is that I come from a place of transition myself… high anxiety,anger, and two Auto-Immune di-eases (Lupus and Celiac). I learned that you had to work hard for everything, that life was a struggle and that you had to earn your worth at every turn.  But that it not Truth!  Life does not have to be a daily struggle and through balancing the mind, body and soul with self-healing, self-care and knowledge you can stand in your power!

Monday’s Messages ~ November 21, 2016 ~The Shaman & Ceremony

mondaysmessages_ceremony_shamanThis morning, my full intention was to do an Angel Card for you, but the Earth Magic Cards were calling strongly, and I follow those intuitive nudges….

Two cards slid out of the deck Earth Magic Oracle Cards by Steven Farmer for you this morning.

While I was journaling and doing my own morning rituals, I was reading Elizabeth Peru’s Tip Off Report, which I love to read – a portion of her message for today, November 21st was:  “Sacred Ceremony is well aspected today.  Perhaps take a long bath, as you meditate upon the past year.  Invoke your favorite Goddess energy that appeals to your inner truth.”

Well, the two cards today are so in alignment with what Elizabeth Peru’s message is, I was totally excited and plan to bring more Sacred Ceremony into today for myself!

The first Card is CEREMONY ~ Invocation

It is in sacred ceremony that we have one of the greatest opportunities to experience communion with Source, one where the perceived dualities of both heaven and Earth merge into an experience of the Divine. Sacred Ceremony is prayer in action.

Whether through indifference, depression, life crisis, or any other manifestation of mental, emotional, or physical blockages, you have drifted from the intimacy with Spirit for which you yearn.  It is important to do what you can to regain an experience of spiritual power that is contained within you and all around you.  Do so by conducting a ceremony, one that involves not only Spirit but also material objects you consider sacred.

The second Card is SHAMAN ~ Ancient Healing Wisdom

I love this card!  The Shaman has witnessed visions, spirits, suffering, and joy and knows that everything that exists has Spirit’s intentionality behind it.  Able to travel beyond the veil of ordinary reality, the Shaman’s primary assignment is to discern and maintain balance between what the human community takes from the natural world and what it gives back.  When this relationship is out of balance, the Shaman must do whatever is necessary to restore it.  Balance equals healing.

The Shaman lives life in ceremony and treats everything with reverence.  The Shaman works with spirit helpers, including ancestral spirits to support in service to the people and to Mother Earth.

“This is a time for deep healing, starting with your relationship with Spirit.  Call upon your spirit guides and ancestors to help you with any emotional, mental, or physical healing that you need today.

The Wisdom of Forgiveness

forgivenessHow are you? Truly — how is your heart? Have you been diving deep and taking tender care of your own being? What does your heart need most these days? How are you feeling physically, mentally & emotionally?

We are fast approaching the darkest days of the year and as we do so our hours become more yin in nature and the call to make our way inward and introspect and care for self in a quiet, deep, dark, beautiful, all-self-knowing-way becomes stronger and stronger.

It is normal to feel more emotional in these colder, slower, darker days.

It is normal to crave warmer foods and more sleep.

The divine feminine beckons us to sit with the heart and lean in to the divine messages that she whispers to us in the quiet moments of days-passing-by.

We are coming into the season of inward work — the season of calling on divine self-care rituals that are slow and soft and deeply nourishing.

I am sending you all of the love — thank you for being here with me, for trusting me and creating connection with me !

forgivenessheartThe main Theme of November is around FORGIVENESS….

This is the big letting go, the final completion, the cutting it loose.

We are weary of the fight, the blame, the crisis, the judgment, the debt, being victims, feeling owed, the anxiety, worry, and stress.

We desperately wish for a gentler more compassionate way of beauty and balance and are finally willing to do whatever it takes to get there.

Forgiveness is a big piece we are working with this month and in the months to come. The actual definition of forgiveness is to give way so something can be free to move forward. Without forgiveness there is no moving forward. To the extent that you are not able to forgive yourself or others for what “they have done to you”, “you have done to yourself, or, ”you have done to others”, you are holding yourself and others hostage and no one is free to move forward. We are in a time of tremendous potential for movement forward and the raising of consciousness but if we cannot forgive, we go nowhere.

What people do not realize is that the choice to not forgive can actually create karma. If you have the option and the opportunity to forgive something or someone and you do not take it, choosing instead to hold someone or something hostage in your expectation of a payback, you can create some karma for yourself in the withholding of that freedom. Some food for thought….

Forgiving something does not mean that you agree with it or condone it. The action or situation can still be very wrong, but forgiving it cuts it loose so that the energy of it is no longer attached to you.  You neutralize the charge so that you are no longer hooked into the debt of payback. Sometimes we hold onto old grudges for years and years and maybe even lifetimes, not even remembering exactly what started it. On a greater more global scale there is a need for forgiveness between countries, races, the masculine and the feminine.

Blame, grudges, judgement, hopelessness and depression are all symptoms of an inability to forgive. We hide behind the bad parents that did not love us the way they should have, or the boss that never saw our potential and wasted years of our talents, or the relationship that never gave us what we wanted, or all those that took advantage of us without the proper honor, payment or acknowledgement. These are all the logjams in our psyches that are keeping us at a lower vibration and from being free to move forward.

If you forgive those who “done you wrong”, you are not only freeing yourself but freeing them as well. And if you don’t truly forgive them, you may be stuck with them on the karmic wheel for future lifetimes. It is better to clean it up now. New Moon September 2016 ~ Black Moon

659010New Moon is on Friday, Sept. 30th

This is the second New Moon this month. It is an anchor point, a reset, an acknowledgement of your intentions and actions, and sets up our focus for the next few weeks.

It is a beautiful and very benign New Moon and offers us a chance to expand our dreams and to be inspired by what is possible. Pay attention to what comes into your life during this moon as it will be a major influence in the weeks to come.

It is a good time for receiving gifts, basking in beauty, and being generous with your energy and creativity.

Celebrate it by doing something really wonderful for yourself.

I have not yet decided what that something really wonderful is yet, but I do know that I will be doing some Ritual, meditation and I believe I`ll go out to the Point here with my drum, sit by the water before it freezes over…

Morning Rituals

I LOVE my morning Rituals…..

Morning ritualsMost mornings, I like to make a cup of hot water with lemon and honey, go outside and sit on the back deck. If I’m blessed enough to be up early, I’ll see the sun come up over the lake. I like to take this time to ground, center and balance my energies before I start the day.

Here’s how you can start your own morning ritual!

~Early morning, before you eat breakfast or start reading emails

~ Your favorite mug or glass, a quiet place to sit, and the ingredients you need to make your beverage of choice

~: In the quiet early hours, come into the kitchen and gather the ingredients you’ll need to make your morning drink. Stay in a headspace of silent awareness, taking in this ritual with all of your senses. Listen to the whistle of the teakettle, or the steamy drip of the coffeemaker. Smell the aromas as they hit your nose and inhale deeply. Refrain from distracting yourself with technology during any waiting periods, instead focusing on the sensations of your body in that moment, breathing in gratitude for another day on this earth.

When your beverage is ready, steadily pour it into a beautiful glass or mug, and bring it to the table or somewhere that you can sit for a few minutes. Cup the mug with both of your hands, close your eyes, and think of a positive intention that you want to set for the day. Imagine that intention as bright, shimmering light, growing from your heart until it fills your chest. Now visualize that intention flowing through your arms and hands, and into your mug, infusing your drink with the energy of that intention.

Sip your morning beverage in silence for a few moments, feeling the liquid energy flow into your body, aligning you to the Divine, and strengthening you for the day to come!
